Ujjwala Raut started her modeling career at the age of 17 by participating in Femina Miss India 1996, where she won the title of “Femina Look of the Year”. Ujjwal was interested in modeling since her childhood and hence the 17-year-old student started giving auditions.
In 1996, Ujjwala Raut participated in the Elite Model Look Contest, an annual fashion modeling event organized by Elite Model Management, an international model management group. The aim of the competition is to discover and launch female fashion models in the international fashion market. Ujjwala was successful in securing a place among the top 15 participants of the competition. This competition proved to be a life-changing experience for him. She was signed by many international brands for modeling assignments.
