Travis Kelce’s mother has finally weighed in on Taylor Swift’s latest album. The Department of Tortured Poets. Donna Kelce, 71, revealed she was something of a Swiftie herself and devoured the entire masterpiece upon its release in the early hours of the morning.
“I listened to the whole album. I heard it all morning when they released it,” Kelce said. People. The woman who gave birth to the most beloved siblings in the world had nothing but praise for TTPD.
“I was very impressed,” gushed Donna. “She is a very talented woman and I think she is probably her best work,” she declared.
When asked if Grandma had any advice for Taylor as she rapidly approaches middle age, Donna demurred. “She doesn’t need my advice about anything. In fact, I hope she gives me advice,” she admitted.

Unfortunately, Donna didn’t mention what her favorite songs were. One might hazard a guess that it might be uncomfortable for Donna to hear the lyrics Taylor Swift threw at her ex and Travis Kelce.
Swift appears to sing about her relationship with Kelce in her song “The Alchemy.” The track alludes to winning streaks, trophies and touchdowns.
Fans also speculated that she referenced the Super Bowl champion in “So High School.”
In the song, Taylor sings about a new feeling of love “so high school.” It appears to reference a previous interview in which Travis was asked to choose between marrying, kissing, or killing her, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry.
During that interview, Travis infamously chose his future girlfriend to kiss. Meanwhile, he happily chose Katy Perry as his wife.
“Are you going to marry, kiss or kill me (Kill me) / It’s just a game, but really (Really) / I’m betting on the three of us (The three of us),” Swift sings at one point. Of course, Swift also seemed to reference her exes, Matty Healy and Joe Alwyn, in other songs. However, the hints supposedly about them were not so complimentary. Perhaps Donna Kelce took the footprints trailing Healy and Alwyn as a dark omen of what was to come for her son.
Throughout the 2023-24 NFL season, Donna and Swift developed a close bond, enthusiastically rooting for Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs together at several games.
