Pradeep became an overnight internet sensation when filmmaker Vinod Kapri spotted him running with a backpack on his shoulders through the dark streets of Noida at night. The filmmaker offered Pradeep a lift, but he refused. After this the filmmaker asked Pradeep the reason for running away and not accepting the offer of lift. To this, Pradeep politely replied that he walks about 10 km every night from his workplace in Sector 16 Noida to his home in Baraula after his shift to continue his practice and follow the physical exercise routine for preparation. Vinod Kapri then invites him for dinner which he again rejects and says that he has to go home and cook dinner for his elder brother, who works at night. Vinod asked Pradeep the reason for not working during the day, to which the 19-year-old replied that he had to wake up early in the morning, prepare breakfast and leave for work. Vinod posted the video on Twitter on the evening of March 20, 2022, which went viral within 24 hours of being posted on social media.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also retweeted the video and said that many IAS officers and politicians would not stand by the dedication and passion shown by Pradeep. Retired General Satish Dua personally came forward to help Pradeep in his training.

A spokesperson for the opposition Samajwadi Party said they were ready to take the initiative to provide assistance for Pradeep’s education and his mother’s treatment.

- In an interview, Pradeep revealed that he has been listening to the life stories of soldiers since childhood, which inspired him to join the Indian Army.
- He said that after his video went viral, he was flooded with calls and messages. He also said that many people including his friends and media came to his house to talk to him and interview him.
- When Pradeep was talked to outside his workplace after the video went viral, he said,
I am feeling extremely motivated and my enthusiasm to join the Army has increased manifold. This has inspired other people who want to join the army to move forward. Also, many people have offered to help me. I feel very good.”

Pradeep’s brother told that he is missing and his mobile phone has also been switched off for hours. Later he learned that a media team had come to his house, and they took his brother for an interview. During the interview, Pradeep was asked to run into the studio, which was played on a loop on the channel. Reportedly, Pradeep was made to wait for a few hours in the newsroom, due to which he even missed his work shift. This act of the media house was criticized by many on social media and called it a mockery of Pradeep’s willpower and determination.
