In 2005, he met Indian actress Isha Koppikar through Bollywood actress Preity Zinta at a gym. After three years of friendship, they started dating each other on 21 June 2008. The couple got married on 29 November 2009 and in July 2014, the couple had a daughter, Riana Narang.

In 1991, he joined his family business Ambassador Hotels. In 2002, he started his hospitality business Lush Lounge and Grills in Mumbai. On January 4, 2002, he started a catering business named SkyGourmet Catering Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai. He is a director in various organizations such as Mars Hospitality, Pizza by the Bay, Rokeby Manor, Gordon House Hotel, Earth Round the Corner and Landour Bake House. He co-owns a few other businesses.

allegation of molestation
In July 2014, Indian actor and model Pooja Mishra accused Timmy and his brother of molestation. According to the FIR lodged by Pooja at Mundwa police station in Pune, Pooja was threatened by the Narang brothers for some years. According to Pooja, she was hypnotized and even her phones and social media accounts were hacked.
