He was born on Friday, 3 March 1995 (age 27 years; as in 2022) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His zodiac sign is Pisces. He did his schooling from Venkateswara English Medium School, Bhubaneswar. To complete her graduation, she attended Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar and Bhavan College in Western Mumbai. Later, she did post graduation in Odissi dance style.

From 2011 to 2012, she was in a relationship with Ollywood actor ‘Arindam Roy’. Later, the couple separated and Arindam married ‘Anupa Das’ in 2016. Anupa is the sister of a minister from Odisha. Prakriti has been dating Ratul Manek for a few years.

He started his career in acting at the age of 4. She appeared in the Odia film, ‘Hari Bhai Harena’ in 2000 as a child artiste. In 2005, she appeared in the ETV Odia serial, ‘Tulsi’. She made her Hollywood debut with the film Thukul (2012). He has acted in more than ten Oriya films. She was a judge on two reality shows – ‘Mr and Miss Kalinga’ (2013) and ‘Raja Queen’ (2015). He participated as a contestant in Zee TV’s show India’s Best Cinestars Khoj in 2014. In 2015, she debuted with the Bollywood film ‘Kaun Kitne Paani Mein’. In 2017, she appeared in the Odia film ‘Hello Arsi’ and her performance in the film was appreciated by critics and audiences.

She has been featured in various Oriya and Hindi music videos. Some of her famous Odia and Hindi TV serials are- Trideviyaan (2016), Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki (2017), and Bitti Business Wali (2018). In 2019, he participated as a contestant in MTV’s reality show Ace of Space 2.

Assault with co-star’s wife
In July 2022, Prakriti Mishra came into limelight after a video went viral in which her co-star Babushan Mohanty’s wife attacked her. According to reports, the actress was assaulted because Mohanty’s wife believed that the two were having an affair. Later, Prakriti took to Instagram to express her opinion and wrote,
There are two sides to every story. Unfortunately, we live in a society where people blame women before listening to anything. I and my co-star Babushan were going to Chennai to attend an event organized by the Utkal Association. During this, Babushan’s wife along with some goons started pushing the actor and attacked me physically and mentally.
Babushan Mohanty also gave clarification through a video statement, in which he said,
You all must be enjoying watching my viral videos. But, I want to tell you that I came to Chennai to participate in the Utkal Day celebrations and Prakriti Mishra was also invited to the event. I came here to promote my film in which Prakriti is working opposite me and we were also planning to announce a new film. I was not aware that my family was going through turmoil. If my family has a problem with it then I will not do that film with them. If need be, I will not work with any heroine in future.
