Tim told ET that his family would keep him humble after being called an icon.
“I’m sure everyone is going to give me a lot of shit for that,” he joked with the outlet. “With my wife and three daughters, I am the lowest man on the totem pole. And I am the least talented singer of all the members of our family.”
He went on to explain how it felt to have them in the audience as he accepted the victory.
“I couldn’t look in his direction because, you know, I’m terrible at giving speeches. And when I give speeches, I tend to cry pretty quickly,” Tim said. “I hope I got through it pretty well.”
Tim also had many wonderful things to say about his daughters during a recent performance. He then talked about her wife and praised her while promoting her new album. Space for standing people only.
