Tim Donnelly is a late American film and television actor. Tim Donnelly is widely known for playing the role of fireman Chet Kelly in NBC’s medical drama series “Emergency!”

Early Life

Born as Timothy David Donnelly, better known as Tim Donnelly. He was born on the 3rd of December 1944 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He holds an American nationality and has a birth sign of Virgo. While his ethnicity and religion are still under review.

He was born to his parents Paul Donnelly (father) and Eileen O’Malley (mother). By profession, his father was an assistant director and his mother is a homemaker. He grew up with his two siblings; Dennis and Kathleen. His brother worked as a film director.

Tim Donnelly made his film debut in 1957 with “Baby Face Nelson.” He has appeared in a number of other films and television shows throughout his career, including “The Virginian,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “Adam-12,” “The Secret of Santa Vittoria,” and “The Legend of Jesse James.”

He also appeared in five episodes of “Dragnet,” where he was mentored by Jack Webb. Despite his extensive filmography, it was his role as a cheerful, carefree Chet Kelly in the NBC drama series “Emergency!” that pushed him to fame.

He had to shave his beard and shave a portion of his hair in order to properly portray the character in the aforementioned series. Moreover, he later had a leading role in the film “Parts: The Clonus Horror” after the series ended in 1977.

He also appeared in his brother’s 1978 violent film “The Toolbox Murders.” Tim announced his retirement from acting in 1984, following his final appearance in the action-adventure television series “The A-Team,” which was also directed by his brother.
