Gail Ann Dorsey, a musician, shared her grief in a social media post featuring a photo of Bella. Gail said in the article that she grew up in West Philadelphia during the 1960s and 1970s when Bell dominated the music business. Thom Bell became famous as a composer and choreographer.
He was born on January 26, 1943, and began his career at Cameo Records, where he wrote several songs for the vocal group The Delfonics. He has also staged performances by many musicians. During the 1970s, Bell was a member of the musical group The Stylistics. He has collaborated on three albums with poet Linda Creed and singer Russell Thompkins Jr. Thom and Linda have collaborated on several additional songs that have received a positive response from listeners.
Thom then joined The Spinners, a rhythm & blues vocal group. With his help, the band recorded five albums with a gold certification. Together with Dionne Warwick, he wrote the song Then Came You, which reached the top of the Billboard charts.
