Taylor Swift to host massive red carpet premiere for The tour of the ages Concert film at popular Los Angeles shopping center The Grove and details have been revealed!
The 33-year-old singer will release the film in theaters around the world on Friday (October 13), but some VIP guests and lucky fans will have the chance to see the film before everyone else.

So what do you need to know about the premiere?
- TMZ reports that the event will take place Wednesday night (October 11) at The Grove in Los Angeles. Guests have been told that arrivals begin at 6:00 p.m. and that the movie will begin at 7:00 p.m.
- Taylor is expected to appear, BUT “she may be removed if any safety issues arise or The Grove is overwhelmed by Taylormania.”
- 2,200 fans were invited to attend the event and information on location and arrival times will not be sent to them until 2 pm Pacific Time.
- The Grove has been closed for the day, with all shops and restaurants closed for the special event. However, the AMC Theaters at The Grove have some additional showtimes for the day, but they are all sold out now. It’s unclear if the theater stopped selling tickets once the location was leaked or if fans bought all the tickets.
- The security presence at The Grove is huge right now and it is reportedly “impossible” to enter the mall unless you have a reason to be there.
So how does this factor into the theories of a double album?
Fans have been guessing for weeks that Taylor might release a secret second album following the drop of 1989 (Taylor version). The theory is that the second album will be filled entirely with songs from the vault, as Taylor originally wrote over 150 songs for the album.
- The Grove’s address is 189 The Grove Drive, which apparently has a connection to the 1989 album title.
- 2,200 fans were invited to the premiere, playing the song “2” for the double album theory.
- The Grove was established in 2002 and also plays on the “2” theme.
