Talia Goodman, daughter of Jeff Goodman, is an employee of the Hoosier Network. The teenager previously worked for NBC and founded a sports media company. Talia has been running Goods Sports Media for two years and has over 5,000 followers on Instagram. She has been interested in journalism since high school in Pingree. Talia was previously the editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper, the Highlander, and is now an intern at 247 Sports. She is the only child of Jeff Goodman and Melissa Goodman. Jeff, a senior basketball commentator, worked for ESPN for five years before joining Stadium Basketball Insider in 2018. He previously worked for FOX Sports and CBS Sports.

Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, is his only child. Talia is 20 years old and was born on September 10, 2003. Talia, a student at Pingree School, followed in the footsteps of her famous father. Talia, like her father, has a talent for journalism and is studying sports media at Indiana University. Talia has already acquired great knowledge despite her young age. Although her father is a well-known name, if it weren’t for hard work, she wouldn’t have been able to keep her job.
Talia began her work at Hockey Night In New England as a summer marketing and social media intern. She worked for them for four months before joining the Canes Country staff writing team. Talia’s father had already informed everyone about her passion for hockey. Jeff posted a video on his X page of Talia getting ecstatic after receiving a Jack Hughes t-shirt for her 16th birthday. Talia worked as a production intern for NBC Sports Boston last year. She helped transcribe interviews and press conferences and prepared scripts for Early Edition and Boston Sports Tonight.
Talia has been with The Hoosier Network since 2022. Talia joined the network as the Indiana WSOC and WBB Beat Reporter, and has covered the Indiana volleyball team since last year. She also served as a sideline reporter for the Indiana University women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer and hockey teams. Talia joined Peegs.com (part of 247 Sports) as an intern last year and covered men’s and women’s basketball as well as football for Indiana University. Talia is on Instagram, where she has 5,000 followers, and in addition to her daily life, she also publishes photos from her journalistic profession.
Meet Melissa Goodman, wife of Jeff Goodman
Melissa Goodman, the wife of a basketball insider, kept out of the public eye. Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lehigh University in 1991. She worked temporarily at Linkage in 2000 before becoming Director of Operations at Consumer Quality Initiatives for 13 years. Melissa left her position in 2015.
Melissa, unlike her daughter and husband, is not very active on social networks. Her husband occasionally posted pictures of her on his X page. On their anniversary in 2016, Jeff previously uploaded a family photo. He posted the picture with the message: “Happy anniversary to my wife – after all my daughter (only child) is the winner tonight, she will be joining Hamilton!” When asked why he chose to live in Newburyport when he could have lived anywhere else, Jeff previously said he didn’t want to interfere too much with the lives of his wife and child.
