T Dilip aka TK Dilip aka TK.Dilip Kumar was born in Hyderabad, Telangana (formerly Andhra Pradesh), India. According to one source, he was born on Monday, 1 September 1980 (age 43 years; as of 2023), and according to another source, he was born on Thursday, 1 September 1983 (age 40 years; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He did his schooling from St. Anthony’s High School, Hyderabad. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Aurora Degree and PG College, Hyderabad. He used to play cricket while studying in school and college; However, his father did not approve of his playing and asked him not to pursue a career in sports. He was fond of playing cricket and later he joined cricket as a player cum coach.

From 2008, he became the fielding coach of the Hyderabad Cricket Association Academy’s Under-14, Under-16, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-25 teams and there he met Ramakrishnan Sridhar (popularly known as R Sridhar Goes). Former Indian fielding coach who guided Dilip about the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

In 2009, he began working for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Deccan Chargers, where he was the baseball and assistant fielding coach to Australian cricket coach Mike Young. From 2008 to 2019, he also worked with several junior Ranji teams and several other women’s, zonal and junior boys’ national teams, where he mentored Axar Patel and Shubman Gill, who later played for India. In 2017, he became the fielding coach of India A for the series against Bangladesh. Between 2007 and 2019, he did the Level-A Refresher Course in Hyderabad, the Level-B Refresher Course in Bengaluru and later the Level-C Refresher Course at NCA.

He later worked with several fielding coaches such as Trevor Penny and Jonty Rhodes. In November 2021, he was appointed as the fielding coach of the Indian national team and worked with Rahul Dravid. He became one of those coaches who never played for India.
