In response to Carol Baum’s comments, Sydney Sweeney’s representative stated that the comments were sad.
“How sad that a woman in a position to share her knowledge and experience decides to attack another woman,” explained the representative. “If tearing down another woman is what Carol has learned over her decades in the business, and she sees it appropriate to pass it on to her students, then that’s really embarrassing.”

Teddy Schwarzman, Sweeney’s former producer who worked with her on Immaculate, He also spoke about Baum’s statements. She said that Sweeney is not only one of the most talented actresses she has ever worked with, but she is also incredibly smart, kind and humble.
“I’m not sure why someone who claims to still be a producer would make such horribly ugly comments,” Baum shouted. “But I can assure everyone that Sydney is at least beautiful on the inside.”
Days after his comments surfaced, Baum told TMZ that he regrets making comments about Sydney Sweeny. She told the media outlet that she wished she had never made those comments and that “shitting” on an actress like that is not “her style.”
