After. After months of speculation and gossip, Sydney Sweeney addressed Glen Powell’s cheating rumors as he hosted Saturday night live.
During her opening monologue, Sweeney talked about the “craziest rumor” about her. She allegedly had an affair with Powell while they were filming her hit romantic comedy. Nobody but you.
“That’s obviously not true,” Sydney Sweeney proclaimed about the Glen Powell rumors. “My fiancé and I produced the movie together and he was there throughout filming, and I just want everyone to know that he is the man of my dreams and that we are still together and stronger than ever.”
Sweeney later noted that Powell came on the show to support her. “He even came here tonight to support me. Can we move on to him?” she asked before the cameras turned to Powell, who was sitting in the audience. Sweeney stated: “Yeah, no, that’s not my fiancé. He’s in my dressing room!
Sydney Sweeney is engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino. She and Powell previously discussed why the rumors started. “I mean, we sold a romantic comedy,” Sweeney said at the time. “We were filming an amazing, fun movie.”
Powell also spoke about the attention she had received while filming with Sweeney. “Sydney has been…an internet sensation for a while,” she explained. “This is my first jump into that. Every time you are around Sydney, I notice that you get the full force of its fame. But look, the best thing about this is that we really love and respect each other. We had a great time doing this.”
