Sean “Diddy” Combs has found himself in trouble with the authorities. On March 25, the FBI and the US Department of Homeland Security raided the home of the CEO of Bad Boy Records. The raid stemmed from a connection the hip-hop mogul has to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Death Row and Bad Boy had a notorious conflict in the 1990s. Their respective headliners, Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls, were at odds after Shakur was shot during a visit to Quad Studios and accused Smalls and the rival label to organize the shooting.
Suge Knight opens up about Diddy
You’d think Death Row’s now-imprisoned founder Suge Knight would take this moment to take a victory lap. But in reality it is quite the opposite. He said that he had sympathy for the Bad Boy CEO.
“My first reaction, it’s not the reaction I thought I would have when it came to Puffy. I thought it would be a reaction like he got what he deserved because everyone knows what he’s been going through,” Knight said of Diddy’s legal troubles.
“Actually my reaction was different because the first thing that came to mind was: he has his sons, he has his daughters. My reaction was first about the children. The thing is, I feel like it’s a bad day for Hip Hop. “It is a bad day for culture because it makes us all look bad.”

Knight also noted that he is looking at the broader picture of the case surrounding the legendary producer. He noted that he feels for the victims involved.
“So for the tragedy on both sides, for the victims, for him, that’s definitely nothing to be happy about,” Knight added.
“I’m not the kind of person who takes joy in other people’s downfall.”
Knight also acknowledged the previous problems he and Diddy had. He also left the door open to a possible reconciliation.
“If someone dies or something happens to them, then I’m not going to burst bottles of champagne. “If I have a problem with Puffy, it’s for him and I to sit in a room and work it out,” she added.
