Swati Das Prabhu was born on 18 May in Kanhangadh, Kerala. He did his schooling from Sharjah Indian School. He did his BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from SRM University, Chengalpattu (near Chennai). He later did an MA in Cinema and Television Production from Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kerala.
