notorious gangster
In his childhood, he started practicing as a wrestler in an akhada in Ludhiana, Punjab. In his teens, a security agency approached the head of the arena to hire some boys as security guards and bouncers. While talking to the media, Sukha said,
We have worked hard in the soil of “Akhara” since childhood. I was aware of the fact that wrestlers are not on the priority list of the government and sports promoters. So, a job here is a dream come true. We learned about the employment opportunity from the head of the “Akhara”, who was contacted by a local private security agency. The agency was looking for physically fit and good communicators for Man Mall in the city. The terms of the agreement and payment seemed favorable to us and we accepted the work.
At a very young age he came in contact with a local goon. After this he started getting involved in various criminal activities. Gradually, he formed his own gang and carried out various criminal activities like robbery, murder, extortion and illegal weapons possession. In 2005, his name came up in the case of murder of two people named Deepu and Bhola Ram. According to local police, he murdered two people and threw their bodies in Sidhwan Canal in Ludhiana, for which he was arrested. Later he came out on bail. In 2012, he was arrested by the Punjab Police in two ‘attempt to murder’ cases. He had opened fire on Amandeep Asa in Dhandhra Road, Ludhiana and Jagdeep Chahal (NRI) in Model Town, Ludhiana. A year later, he attempted to kill a man named Mani Bhanja on Barewal Road. In December 2013, he had a gang war with a rival gang. He was involved in many more murder cases. In 2014, Sukha along with other members of his gang were arrested by the Punjab Police in a robbery case. Sukha’s gang had just robbed a man named Krishna (Jimmy). At gunpoint, the gang looted Mahindra Verito car, Rs 2 lakh and gold jewelery from Kewal. Addressing the media on his arrest, senior police officer PS Gill said,
