Cher shares her thoughts on Madonna, 65, after a resurfaced interview shows her criticizing the Queen of Pop for her “rude” behavior.
In a recent interview with Los Angeles Times, Cher, 77, was shown an old video in which she called Madonna “bad.”
The video of the 1991 interview resurfaced as part of Madonna’s 40th birthday. Celebration tour. Back then, the “After All” singer openly admitted that, while she had deep respect for Madonna, there was a certain quality about her that didn’t sit well with her.
“She’s mean, I don’t like that,” Cher said.

He then went on to describe a situation where the Queen of Pop was allegedly “rude to everyone” in her home. At the time, Madonna was married to Sean Penn.
“I remember inviting her to my house a couple of times because Sean and I were friends and she was very rude to everyone.
“It seems to me that she has so much that she doesn’t have to act like she does, like a spoiled brat all the time,” Cher said. “It seems to me that when you achieve the kind of acclaim that she has achieved and can do whatever you want, you should be a little more magnanimous and a little less ac***.”

In another interview, the “Dark Lady” singer was asked if she knew that Madonna was using old footage during her Celebration route.
“I said a lot worse things than that,” Cher responded, before clarifying that everything was fine between them.
“I actually like it. But come on,” she added.
When asked if “come on” meant she stood by her 1991 claim that Madonna is “bad,” Cher responded:
“She may be. We buried that hatchet a long time ago because I called her a much worse name and she forgave me. But I’ll give you this: there’s no one like her who had her ear to the ground and knew everything before anyone else. I mean , she knew what was coming and she was right. I always felt that was her greatest gift: being able to know the trends before any of us.”
This all comes shortly after Cher was accused of organizing a kidnapping plot involving her estranged son. She has yet to comment on such events as more and more details are revealed.
Still, we’re not entirely sure what the purpose of reviving the video for the tour was, but we’re glad to know that the rivalry between Cher and Madonna is a thing of the past.
