Selling The OC: Why Alexandra Jarvis Is A Fan Favorite

Selling The OC is the hit new spinoff of Netflix’s Selling Sunset, and real estate agent Alexandra Jarvis has quickly become a fan favorite. Like Selling Sunset, Selling The OC follows the lives of attractive, young realtors trying to sell multimillion-dollar properties in Southern California. The agents of Selling Sunset made their mark in the real estate market in Los Angeles, and Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group decided to expand his horizons in Orange County.

The cast of Selling The OC is made up of realtors who have been in the business for years as well as those who are just starting out. Kayla Carmona, who was one of the greener agents, looked up to Alex Hall as a mentor and asked her to go in on a listing with her. However, Kayla’s difficult client prompted Alex to back out of the deal. Gio Helou was one of the most experienced sellers, but his arrogance rubbed Alex the wrong way. Polly Brindle, who prided herself in getting along with everyone, found herself at odds with Alexandra Jarvis.

With so many strong personalities working together, there was bound to be drama in The Oppenheim Group office. Alexandra, whose only close friend was Alexandra Rose, found herself singled out by many of the realtors. However, Alexandra soon became a favorite of Selling The OC fans. Reddit user u/EducationalOutside5 wrote, “Who are your favorite agents in Selling the OC? Mine turn[ed] out to be Jarvis.” Other fans agreed, and one replied, “Jarvis for sure! At first I thought Jarvis and Rose were the bad guys but it seems that everyone else are the bullies! Kinda made me mad.” Many agreed that the two successful Selling The OC realtors who worked together on listings were given the cold shoulder from the rest of the group and were excluded during many group activities.

While Alexandra wowed Selling The OC fans with her beauty, she also impressed them with her brains. During an argument with her castmates, she used lawyer jargon, which irritated Alex and Polly. Viewers thought the realtors were intimidated by Alexandra’s education, as she has a law degree. One Reddit user wrote, “Jarvis is…amazing. I’m so tired of the girls mocking the way she talks just because she uses big words. She’s a lawyer, so what? I can’t believe having an education is being used to insult her lol.” Other viewers agreed and applauded her for keeping her cool and staying polite during fights with the other women. A Selling The OC fan responded, “Jarvis is a Rockstar. She is always polite to all the yelling losers.”

With only eight episodes in the first season, Selling The OC is easily bingeable. Fans have already picked out their favorites and are predicting who the cast villain will be. Alex received mixed reactions from viewers, and many believed her to be unlikable due to her treatment of Alexandra and Kayla. Although Alexandra was depicted as the villain in the beginning of the season, she soon grew on fans, and many Selling The OC viewers were impressed with the ambitious realtor.
