Selena Gomez Is Diagnosed With Bipolar Disorder And Lupus

Selena Gomez, an American singer and actress, talked about her mental problems and her long struggle with lupus. The actress admitted to Rolling Stone on their cover that she suffered from a mental disorder in 2018 and ended up in a treatment facility after hearing voices. Soon after, the 30-year-old was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and doctors prescribed her multiple medications to see which worked best for her. However, these drugs have a negative effect on her.

When asked about the medication’s side effects, Gomez said she felt like she was gone and there was no longer a part of her “there”. Luckily, Selena Gomez managed to find a doctor who assessed her prescription and advised her to take only two pills, which made her feel better. The Another Cinderella Story actress claims she must “deto” herself from drugs and learn to remember sentences she would forget when she said them. She went on to say that it’s hard to accept her bipolar disorder and learn to cope with it because it “isn’t going to go away.”

The Round & Round singer collapsed in her car after visiting a friend who was trying to get pregnant believing it wasn’t going to happen. However, she told the website that she is optimistic about it. She notes that it’s a “very big, big, present thing” in her life and if she ever intends to have children, she will. Selena Gomez has spoken out about her battle with mental health. She revealed in 2017 that she had lupus, which led to a kidney transplant in June of that year.

“It’s okay. Anyway, I can say, ‘Make it up’.”

The six-year documentary was also shot during the Covid-19 outbreak and will be released on Apple+ on November 4, 2022.
