Seema’s father is industrialist Om Prakash Jindal. OP Jindal died in a plane crash in 2005. He founded the Jindal Group and its enterprises. He served as the Minister of Power of the Government of Haryana until his death in 2005. Seema’s mother, Savitri Jindal, took over the reins of the Jindal Group after her husband’s death. Savitri was a politician in the Indian National Congress and was named India’s richest woman in 2023 by Forbes.
Seema has eight brothers and sisters. Naveen Jindal is an industrialist, philanthropist, sportsperson and politician from the Indian National Congress. Naveen is a Lok Sabha MP. He is the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (formerly known as Jindal Strips Limited) and Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University. Sajjan Jindal is the Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group. Prithviraj Jindal is the non-executive chairman of Jindal SAW Limited. Ratan Jindal is the Chairman of Jindal Stainless Limited. Seema’s other siblings include Sarika Jhunjhunwala, Urmila Bhuwalka and Nirmala Goyal.

Seema Jajodia is a certified health coach and the founder and managing director of Nourish Organics. In 2008, she opened Nourish Organics Café in Delhi, where she sold raw, fresh, organic and unprocessed juices and smoothies. In 2009, Seema started selling healthy packaged food after two of her relatives suffered from cancer, and she noticed a gap in the market when it came to organic and natural packaged food. In an interview where she explained why she started the company, Seema said,
Many health complications impacting life forced some of my close family members to choose organic consumption. I turned to research to understand the impact of going organic as a sustainable lifestyle choice and thus Nourish Organics was born.
Nourish Organics sells items like breakfast cereals, nutrition bars, health cookies and snacks. According to Nourish Organics, their products are ‘Certified Organic’ by Agricultural Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) accredited certification agency. Nourish is certified by USDA, Intertek, India Organic and United Register of Systems.
Controversy
bankruptcy claim
In 2018, controversy arose when allegations were made that Seema Jajodia helped her brother Sajjan Jindal’s company, JSW Steel, in a bidding process by transferring her shares in Monnet Ispat & Energy and violated the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
