Sarika Jhunjhunwala’s father Om Prakash Jindal was a businessman and chairman of Jindal Organization. OP Jindal was serving as the Minister of Power in the Government of Haryana in 2005. He died in a helicopter crash on 31 March 2005.
Sarika’s mother, Savitri Devi Jindal, is a businesswoman and politician from the Indian National Congress. After the death of her husband, Savitri took over the post of president of Jindal Organization. In 2023, Savitri was named the richest woman in India.
Sarika is one of eight siblings. Naveen Jindal is a Lok Sabha MP, Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (formerly known as Jindal Strips Limited), Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University and an industrialist. Sajjan Jindal is the Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group. Prithviraj Jindal is the non-executive chairman of Jindal SAW Limited. Ratan Jindal is the Chairman of Jindal Stainless Limited. Seema Jindal Jajodia is a health coach and owner of Nourish Organics. Sarika’s other siblings include Urmila Bhuwalka and Nirmala Goyal.

Sarika is married to Girish Jhunjhunwala, owner and executive chairman of Ovolo Group of Hotels and Serviced Apartments. The couple has three children. They have two daughters named Avni and Avisha. Avisha runs the clothing brand Ekam. His son’s name is Shivang.

Sarika Jhunjhunwala owns several eateries including Cafe Os and Spice Box. She also owned and ran the now defunct restaurant Veda, which was an upscale Indian restaurant in Hong Kong. Sarika used to run Cafe OS in Hong Kong. They introduced Café O as a hybrid café-restaurant concept and expanded it to five locations in Hong Kong.
