Salome Roy Kapur is a former Indian actress, model and dancer. She is also a dance teacher, fashion show and theater director and personality development teacher. She is the mother of the Roy brothers Siddharth Roy Kapur (producer), Kunal Roy Kapur (actor) and Aditya Roy Kapur (actor).

Salome Roy Kapur was born ‘Salom Aaron’ in November 1951 (age 68 years; as in 2019) in India. She has been taking dance training since the age of five. Among Western dances, they are trained in ballroom dancing, various types of Latin American dance, tap dance, Spanish dance, and folk dance; And among Indian dance forms, she is a trained Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Kathakali dancer.

She started her career as a model in 1968. At the age of 12, she starred in a Cadbury commercial with her brother. The next year she appeared in an advertisement for Apsara sarees. She has done ramp walk in many events where she used to show her dancing skills during ramp walk. In 1971, she was the winner of a beauty pageant in Spain. In 1972, she won the title of Miss India.

She has also modeled for brands like ITC Wills, Godrej, Cadbury, Tata, Century Mills, Calico, TBZ, Taj Mahal Tea and many other textile companies. He made his acting debut in the film Tu Hi Meri Zindagi (1965).

He has also worked in the films Ek Bechara (1972) and Black (2005). However, because of his love for dance, he chose to become a choreographer. He is the choreographer behind the famous song “Main Shayar To Nahi” from the film “Bobby” (1973). She conducts dance and grooming workshops in various schools and also has her own dance academy.
