Auritra Ghosh is a prominent Indian actress, dancer and theater artist, born in Jamshedpur and brought up in Delhi. She celebrates her birthday on 7th August every year. Auritra lives with her father and an older sister. Her mother died when Oritra was very young.

Belonging to Bengali ancestry, his immense passion towards the creative field has provided a solid foundation for his skills in the arts. He joined the Tata Institute of Data Sciences and studied Information Systems for his higher education. Oritra is a trained Kathak, Jazz, Ballet, Modern and Contemporary dancer. It is a matter of pride that he has exhibited and presented his art in Dubai, Muscat and Belgium.

Having started her career in performing arts at the age of 16 and doing several shows across the world, films came naturally to Auritra Ghosh. She made her Bollywood debut in Love Breakups Zindagi (2011), a Hindi romantic film produced by Sahara Motion Pictures and Born Free Entertainment. Having faced the camera earlier during her dancing days too, Oritra Ghosh had a lot of fun shooting for the film.

She was part of the adaptation of the famous play ‘August: Osage County’ which was directed by renowned Indian theater director Lillete Dubey. Later in 2017, Auritra also choreographed and performed in an adaptation of the famous ‘The Threepenny Opera’, a theater initiative by the Aditya Birla Group. She was also an essential part of the cast of ‘Stand Up: A Serious Drama About Comedy’ – an Aquarius Theater production, which included various nuanced acts and performances.
