Rooprani Tirkey is an Indian lawn bowler, who was the captain of the gold medal-winning Indian quartet in the women’s four lawn bowls event at the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Rooprani Tirkey was born on Sunday, 27 September 1987 (age 35 years; as in 2022) in Ranchi, Jharkhand. His zodiac sign is Libra. She did her schooling from St. Anne’s Girls High School, Ranchi. Commonwealth Games
In 2010, she participated in the Commonwealth Games held in India and finished fourth in the triples. In 2014, she again competed at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland and finished 9th in the triples and 14th in the fours. In 2018, they participated in the Commonwealth Games held in Queensland, Australia, but lost to Malta in the women’s quarter-finals. In 2022, he qualified for the final of the Commonwealth Games. In the semi-final between India and New Zealand, India won 17-9. She works as the Director of Sports and Youth Affairs in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.

- Before becoming a lawn bowler, Roopa was a Kabaddi player. In an interview, he said that he became interested in lawn bowls when he received a good stipend after winning his first game. He also said that one of his relatives suggested him to take up individual sports.
- In an interview he expressed his feelings after winning the semi-finals in CWG 2022 and said,
We cannot express our feelings in words. We have fought as a team and now our journey does not end here. We have to play the same way against South Africa and do what has not been done before.”

I am like his mother, I have been associated with him since 2009. It’s a long journey, they are like my daughters, my family. It is important to get medals, because when we go back to India, the federation always says ‘what have you done?’, so we want to prove that we are no less than any other sport.
- In a statement given after qualifying for the finals at CWG, she expressed her disappointment and said that even after winning the gold medal at CWG 2022, she was not as popular as MS Dhoni in her hometown Ranchi.
