Rodolfo Beban, Argentine actor, died on August 13, 2022 after a long illness. He was 84 years old. The reason for his death is still unclear. The Argentine Actors Association has confirmed Beban’s demotion. According to a tweet from their official Twitter account:

Beban became famous for his successful career in theater and on television. He is best remembered for playing the title character in Leonardo Favi’s film Juan Moreira from 1973. The film was critically acclaimed, making him one of the most successful Argentine artists of his time.

Rodolfo Beban, the son of famous actor Miguel Beban, was born on May 25, 1938. Despite this, Beban grew up in a family where no one was allowed to act. This was largely due to his mother admitting that the theater had destroyed her marriage. Therefore, Beban decided to become an air force pilot. However, one day while driving past the Moron Municipal Theater with a friend, he saw a banner that read: “Fuenteovejuna needs to be replenished.” He began playing supporting roles before taking on the lead role in a play called Musica en la noche. Then he began to take theater courses.
He eventually became famous thanks to many theatrical performances. He starred in many films, including The Strange Couple, Let’s Live a Dream, The Butterflies Are Free and Diario de un Loco, directed by his father. Rodolfo then moved into television, where he starred in television series such as El amor tu cara de mujer, Malevo and Four Men for Eva. Due to his popularity, his photo collection albums are also made available to fans.
Despite his popularity, Beban claims that fame has taken away some of his hobbies, such as participating in milongas and fencing competitions. Rudolf Beban was previously in a relationship with model Liz Amaral Paz, with whom he has a daughter, Dolores. He then married Claudia Lapaco, to whom he had been married for six years. Rodrigo and Diego were raised by Beban and Lapaco. He met Gabriela Gilli while working on the telenovela Malevo, and the couple had three children: Facundo, Daniela and Pedro. On the other hand, Gilli died in December 1991 of heart failure. Beban then met Adriana Castro, with whom he was romantically linked until 1995.
