Rob Marciano’s former co-workers have come to his defense after he was fired from G.M.A..
Marciano was fired for ABC News after a “heated shouting match.” He G.M.A. The meteorologist reportedly already had a troubled past with some of his colleagues. In 2022, he also allegedly made his colleagues feel uncomfortable after “oversharing” about his divorce. In fact, according to Page sixMarciano was previously denied access to the ABC News studios in Times Square for this very reason.
“It was discovered that he had done something… that was inappropriate, but he was punished for it and they still haven’t let him back,” a source said.
Another informant added that “there was a period when there were some problems, a series of alarming events.”
However, some of his other former co-workers have spoken out to defend his name.

According to Rob’s former colleagues, his departure from the media was “unexpected.”
“Rob is always positive, practical and never anything but professional,” a source said. PEOPLE. “People enjoy working with him and he’s not difficult to work with…The Rob Marciano portrayed is not the Rob Marciano we know.”
“Rob has always been nothing but professional,” the source continued. “He is really involved in his work and cares enormously about the end product of his work.”
An editor also added: “Rob was always a very nice guy and I loved when he stopped by my editing room to check out his weather packages.”
Additionally, another coworker of a decade stated that her “heart hurt” after hearing all the negative comments about Rob.
“Rob is great. “No one defended my career in that building more than him and no one took care of the team on the field better than him in my 10 years working there,” he said. “I had a lot of really bad encounters on CNN and people who treated me terribly.”
A fourth colleague, another woman, echoed the same sentiment. She said Rob was “the kindest, most professional and respectful person I have ever worked with.”
“He was very hard-working and kind to everyone,” she said. “A lot of people in the news can be heartless, creepy, or generally unpleasant, but Rob is not one of them.”
