- Rishabh Sahni used to be obese during his teenage years. He started working out at the end of college. By the end of his schooling he weighed 120 kg. With determination, he reduced his weight to 58 kg by the time he graduated. During his school days in New Delhi, he used to eat a lot of junk food. His eating habits changed when he shifted from New Delhi to Vellore, a small town in Tamil Nadu, where there was no food chain at that time. In an Instagram post, she explained how she lost weight and said,
Vellore is a village and at that time there was no known food chain in Vellore and I also did not like mess food. Also it was hard to get good food from restaurants as it was very far and walking was the only way to get food and I was lazy so I stopped eating properly and started losing weight. Ever since I noticed that I was losing weight, I adopted a trick to lose weight, so I started eating only dinner, no breakfast, no lunch for about 6 months and whenever I felt like When I felt hungry, I would take a full bottle of water to fill my stomach. I was walking everywhere and taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
He lost 30 kg in the first semester and since he was getting thinner, he felt he should not stop. So, he continued this trend for the next 6 months and by the time he completed his first year, he had lost about 60 kg. Eventually, he decided to compete in a men’s physical competition. He competed in two of them but then suffered a shoulder injury after which he took a break of about 4–5 months. After recovery he continued his bodybuilding and fitness journey.
