Ravi was born on 23 December 1983 (age 39 years; as in 2022) in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. However, his hometown is Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He went to Delhi University, New Delhi but then dropped out and moved to Mumbai and joined Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai to pursue B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunications. After failing in his engineering exams, he was extremely disappointed in himself but fortunately things got better with time. He has a deep faith in meditation and Buddhism due to which he is able to focus on the pleasant aspects of life.

Due to some misunderstanding, a fight broke out between Ravi of the serial “Jamai Raja” and his co-star Nia Sharma. He settled the matter and ended the cold war.
