Rajeshwar Tiwari was born in 1963 (age 60 years; as of 2023) in Delhi, India. He completed his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi. He completed his graduation in Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi and post graduation in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from IIT Mumbai. He has been working as an IT professional for the last 34 years.

In 1986, Rajeshwar Tiwari joined TCS as a programmer analyst. In March 1988, he left the job and joined PP Systems Task Pvt. Ltd. as a director. He served as director for the next seven years. In April 1995, he joined NIIT as Principal and served there for about ten years before joining HCL Technologies. In November 2005, he joined HCL Tech Company as BU Head. In 2011, he was promoted as the Software Asset Management (SAM) function head of HCL Tech. While he was pursuing his Master’s from IIT Mumbai, he developed an interest in the game of bridge. Rajeshwar Tiwari’s interest in bridge games took him to the level where he represented India in several national and international bridge championships as a professional player.

  • The arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan created a huge uproar in Pakistan. Despite this, all 32 members of India’s bridge team were safe in Lahore and were well treated at a five-star hotel called Pearl Continental Hotel. Rajeshwar Tiwari spoke to PTI before taking off from Amritsar airport and said,

    The organizers ensured that they felt completely safe within the confines of the Pearl Continental Hotel. From the time we crossed the Wagah border to enter Pakistan, they made us feel special. The President of Pakistan Bridge Federation came to the border to welcome us. The competition was not of the highest standards, but in terms of hospitality, this was the best experience we have had out of all the foreign tournaments we have attended. We are also known for our hospitality in India, but when they come here, it will be difficult for us to compete with them.”
