IT and ED raid on mid-day meal scam

On September 7, 2022, Rajendra Singh Yadav’s house and factories were raided in Rajasthan, Gurugram (in Haryana) and Uttarakhand by the Income Tax (IT) department in connection with the irregular provision of food to students studying in government schools. Denying the allegations, Rajendra Singh talked about the IT raid in an interview and said,

IT department officials came to my premises today at 8 am. They also raided my locations in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Gurugram, where my children and family run businesses. The search operation is going on, everything will become clear soon.”

On December 26, 2023, around 10 locations of Rajendra Singh and his associates were raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) department over the alleged mid-day meal scam.
