Rahul Mishra was born on Wednesday, 7 November 1979 (age 43 years; as in 2022) in Kanpur, India. He was brought up in a village called Malhausi near Kanpur, where he lived with his grandparents. After his schooling, Rahul received a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Kanpur University, followed by a master’s degree in Appealing Design from the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, where he was awarded the Best Student Designer of the Year in 2005. to be done. Rahul Mishra started his career as a fashion designer in 2006. He arrived at Lakme Fashion Week in 2006 with his first collection, which included off-white cotton dresses with golden Kerala borders. Initially, in 2009, she developed reversible outfits that combined Banarasi fabric made by traditional artisans with a Kerala mundu on one side.
Rahul has showcased his clothing line in many major fashion weeks across the world including London, Dubai, Australia and Paris. He is known as the first Indian designer to be featured on the online rental boutique Rent the Runway. Rahul is widely known for incorporating traditional Indian textiles as well as handmade workmanship in his work. In 2014, she was declared the winner of the International Woolmark Prize competition in Milan. Mishra’s winning collection ‘The Lotus Effect’ highlighted progressive graphic hand embroidery using chanderi fabric with merino wool thread along with zardozi embroidery on jackets, dresses and pants. The graphic patterns evolved around hexagon shapes and lotus motifs and were determined by the concept of the monochromatic work of Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher.
After establishing himself as a successful entrepreneur, Rahul began expanding his business in 2017 with a wide range of wedding apparel including bridal lehengas and sarees.
