Rahul Khanna is an Indian actor, video jockey and writer. He mainly works in Bollywood. He is the son of famous politician and actor Vinod Khanna and elder brother of Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna.

Rahul Khanna made his television debut with MTV Asia, a youth entertainment TV channel, for which he worked as a video jockey for four years from 1994 to 1998. In 1999, Rahul left MTV Asia and started hosting Asian variety shows for AVS TV Network. in North America. He hosted ASV until 2001. In 2006, he began hosting Discovery Week for the Discovery Channel. Rahul has hosted many award shows including IIFA Awards, Miss India Pageant, Screen Awards, Stardust (magazine) Awards, Miss India Worldwide Pageant, Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief show at Mumbai Fashion Week, GQ (India) Men’s Fashion Awards, and many more. The inspiration for RKXC was my own accessories collection! And my experience in sourcing items for it. I believe that every person should have a few items in their wardrobe that will never go out of fashion, last a lifetime and have a quality that can realistically be passed on to the next generation. However, when I wanted to add a special new item, I discovered that it was easy to find attractive accessories that were embellished or patterned — but that was not the case when it came to classic, high-caliber, foundational pieces. So, I started assembling what I consider to be the building blocks on which a modern Indian man can build a world-class accessories collection.
- Rahul Khanna describes himself as a “boutique Bollywood actor” and when asked the reason behind it, he said,
I live part of the year in India and the rest in America. I’ve done this all my life. Whenever someone in America finds out I’m an actor – and because of how big the industry is here – they naturally conclude that I’m very talented and work on five films at a time. And I have to explain to them that I don’t really work that much. As a result, everyone started throwing the word ’boutique’ around because that’s the word they use for an investment agency or a hotel that’s a little more contained and exclusive.”
