Priyanka Nutakki was born on Saturday, 1 June 2002 (age 20 years; as of 2022) in Kanuru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Gemini. She started playing chess at the age of 7 during summer vacations, when she was in second grade. He quickly learned the game and won the district level competition. His parents saw his natural talent and enrolled him in the Mustabada Chess Educational Academy in Vijayawada. He studied from Delhi Public School, Vijayawada. He started learning from the famous coach Bobba Veerabhadra Rao alias VR Bobba. After this he took training from coach Rama Raju in Hyderabad. In 2018, he trained under senior coach G. at Ponnur in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Started training under Murali Krishna. Later, he trained under coaches GM Swayam Mishra and GM Farrukh Amontov. For his graduation, he opted for a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

He started playing chess in 2010 in various district and state-level tournaments. She won the National Under-9 Girls Chess Championship in 2011, the National Under-11 Girls Chess Championship in 2013, and the 29th National Under-13 Girls Chess Championship in 2015. In 2012, she emerged as the winner in the under-10 age group at the Asian Youth Chess Championship for Girls. Later, in the same year, she again emerged winner in the under-10 age group at the World Youth Chess. Championship for girls.
She participated in the World Youth Girls Under-14 Championship in 2016 and the 20th Dubai Open in 2018. She won the Riga Technical University Open Tournament – A in the girls category. In 2019, he crossed the 2300 rating criterion in the International Chess Federation (FIDE) ratings. She achieved her first Female Grand Master norm at the Relton Cup 2018–2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, most tournaments were cancelled. In 2020, she won the Susan Polgar Foundation Girls Invitational Online Championship 2020. He accomplished his second WGM norm and first International Master (IM) norm at the 7th Sunway Sitges International Open in 2021. He completed the third and final WGM norm. MPL 47th National Women’s Chess Championship in 2022. On March 2, 2022, she became a woman grandmaster. He won the Under-20 category of the Commonwealth Chess Championship in 2022. In November 2022, he qualified for the FIDE Knockout World Cup 2023.
