Statement during the hearing of Annie Murder Case
Priyan Devani became a detective for his brother Shrien Devani during the Anni murder trial from 2010 to 2014. Priyanka was the first person Srien Devani called after her taxi was hijacked in South Africa. By then, Sriyan was emotionally supported and supported by Preyen Devani as a murder case detective.

In a statement by Preyen Dewani, he raised the question that there was no life policy in the name of Anni Dewani, so there was no motive for killing Shrien. He asked,
Why would you have such a big wedding, despite everything that happened, why would you, there is no life policy. You tell me – what benefit does ShriN have there?”
At that time, the news was in discussion that after the death of Anni Devani, the Devani family would get benefit from the insurance policy. However, Preyen Dewani denied all the allegations and immediately offered a huge amount of money in the name of the Hindocha family. Priyanka also clarified that her family was not suffering from any financial crisis and her company was doing well. He narrated,

- Priyanka was the one who helped Shrien Devani arrange Shrien’s engagement with Annie in Paris in May 2010.
- Priene was the first person the Cape Town police informed about the murder of Annie Dewani on 13 November 2010. Priyan Dewani was in regular contact with the Cape Town Police, who were investigating the case following Annie’s solo abduction on 13 November 2010.
