As has come to be expected from superhero films, Deadpool & Wolverine will have at least one post-credit scene. While the MCU movie’s story is not completely clear, and the contents of its post-credits scene are still a mystery, fans are already excited about what the film’s tag scenes could entail. That is due to Deadpool comic book creator Rob Liefeld hyping up Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scene, and there are some cool scenarios that could fit his tease.

10 Deadpool & Wolverine Join Other Heroes For Shawarma
Recreation Of The Avengers Scene
Deadpool & Wolverine will be the first movie with Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth in the MCU. As such, the film’s trailers have already seen Deadpool break the fourth wall in his usual style to comment on his move to the MCU. That could go a step further in Deadpool & Wolverine, with the movie’s post-credits scene recreating an iconic moment from early on in the franchise.
Deadpool & Wolverine could include a new version of the Shawarma scene from 2012’s The Avengers. That post-credits scene saw the Avengers sitting together in a restaurant to eat Shawarma after being victorious at the Battle of New York. The moment was a fun form of bonding between the team’s members. As Cassandra Nova will have her villain team in Deadpool & Wolverine, Wade Wilson and Logan could have their own hero team of multiverse variants that end up celebrating their victory with some Shawarma — or Chimichangas.
9 Deadpool And Wolverine’s Portal Leads To Avengers: Endgame
Two More Heroes Join The MCU’s Biggest Battle
A mind-blowing moment for Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scenes would be to have the characters retconned into taking part in the biggest battle the MCU has ever had. After a first trailer that focused on Wade Wilson, Deadpool & Wolverine‘s second trailer showed more about the movie’s story, including Jackman’s Wolverine, the villain Cassandra Nova, and more. After fighting Cassandra, Deadpool and Wolverine were seen jumping through a portal.
The scene teased Doctor Strange or other magic users in the MCU playing a role in the film. Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scene could see the two characters go through a portal and come out in the middle of the final battle in Avengers: Endgame alongside all the other reinforcements from the portals scene, showing Deadpool and Wolverine fighting next to characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and more. The moment would be shocking and glorious.

8 The MCU’s Wolverine Is Revealed
Deadpool & Wolverine’s Trailers Have Teased Variants
Only a few cameos have been confirmed for Deadpool & Wolverine, though director Shawn Levy and others related to the movie have teased that many more are in store. With so many possibilities, Jackman’s Wolverine return could serve to set up the actor who will take on the role for the MCU’s version of the X-Men. At 55, Jackman doing another decade of X-Men movies would be very hard to believe.
One of Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scenes could see the debut of Marvel Studios’ Wolverine actor. A few stars have emerged as fan favorites for the role, with names including Daniel Radcliffe, Taron Egerton, and more. Since the movie has already teased a Wolverine variant with a silhouette of Patch, the film could include the new main version of the character to prepare fans for the MCU’s X-Men reboot, which would be a momentous occasion.

7 Joe’s Pizza Returns For A Major Spider-Man Crossover
It’s Pizza Time
Deadpool and Spider-Man have a hilarious friendship in Marvel Comics. Despite being known for getting on others’ nerves due to his constant quips, Spider-Man meets his match in Deadpool, who has no filter. Fans have wanted to see that dynamic be brought into live-action for some time. While it would make sense for Deadpool and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to share the screen in the MCU, the multiverse could have other plans in store.
The upcoming MCU movie is rumored to feature a connection to Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man movies through Joe’s Pizza. Maguire’s Peter Parker briefly worked there as a delivery man, which could mean the store will be brought back as Deadpool and Wolverine make their way to Maguire’s Spider-Man universe, perhaps even meeting him if the rumors pan out. The Deadpool franchise’s pizza Easter eggs would continue after Deadpool‘s “Feige’s Famous,” named after Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
6 Deadpool & Wolverine Jump Across MCU Events
A Deadpool 2/Avengers: Endgame Tactic
Deadpool & Wolverine could make great use of its post-credits scene to have its main characters leave a mark on the franchise. In Avengers: Endgame, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes had to travel back in time to assemble the Infinity Stones to restore everyone who had been dusted. In doing so, the MCU’s highest-grossing movie revisited some iconic movies and scenes.
Deadpool 2 also had a similar element to it. At the end of the film, Deadpool uses Cable’s time travel device to go back and avoid the deaths of Vanessa and the other X-Force members. With the TVA in play and magic portals appearing, Deadpool and Wolverine can pretty much go anywhere in the MCU, past, present, and future. In typical Deadpool fashion, it would be exciting to see Deadpool inserting himself into major MCU events to cement his arrival in the franchise.
5 X-Men ’97’s Characters Appear In Live-Action
Marvel Studios’ First X-Men Project Is A Success
While Deadpool & Wolverine will be the MCU’s first movie to star characters who came from Disney’s purchase of Fox, that is not the first project based on the mutants for Marvel. Currently, Disney+ is seeing the weekly release of the animated X-Men ’97 series, which picks back up on the story of the canceled X-Men: The Animated Series.
Based on how much praise Marvel Studios has received for the series and how Kevin Feige considered making X-Men ’97 MCU canon, both projects could merge in the film. Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scene could feature a live-action version of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, and the rest of the team from X-Men ’97 coming face-to-face with Reynolds’ Deadpool and Jackman’s Wolverine. The scene could use a very popular Marvel property and expand the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.
4 Chris Evans Returns As The Human Torch
The Actor’s Captain America Return Remains For Later
Reynolds and director Shawn Levy have teamed up for a couple of movies in the past, and one of them featured a cameo the MCU’s Deadpool and Wolverine could use: Chris Evans. The actor played himself for a cameo in Reynolds and Levy’s Free Guy. As one of the faces of the MCU, having Evans appear would be a major boost for the movie.
However, instead of playing Captain America, Evans should portray his version of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. The actor was the best part of the 2000s Fantastic Four movies, and based on how the MCU’s Fantastic Four will debut next year, and Deadpool & Wolverine seems to be all about Fox cameos, Evans as the Human Torch would fit in perfectly. The post-credits scene could see Deadpool and Wolverine meet Evans’ character, who is teased to be Captain America, only for him to burst into flames, shocking fans.
3 Deadpool And Wolverine Recruit Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man
The Scene Would Be A Callback To An X-Men Movie
Chris Evans is not the only Avengers member who could be a candidate for Deadpool & Wolverine‘s mind-blowing post-credits scene. Recently, Robert Downey Jr. said he would be open to returning as Iron Man. While Tony Stark is dead, the MCU is bringing back Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming movie despite the character’s death in Logan, so Stark’s fate should not block RDJ’s possible return.
Deadpool & Wolverine could feature both characters attempting to recruit Iron Man from another universe or earlier from the MCU timeline. Given the franchise’s self-aware humor, a post-credits scene of the two recruiting Iron Man would be perfect as a shot-for-shot recreation of Jackman’s X-Men: First Class cameo. In that film, Charles Xavier and Magneto tried to convince Wolverine to join the X-Men, to which he said, “Go f… yourself!” Iron Man could either get a similar line or actually join them, depending on what RDJ wants.
2 Ben Affleck And Henry Cavill Show Up For A DC Nod
The Deadpool Movies Have Already Referenced DC
While the movie actually getting DC characters is impossible, as DC boss James Gunn has said that a Marvel and DC crossover is still in the distant future, Deadpool & Wolverine could do the next best thing. The MCU movie’s shocking post-credits scene could be the arrival of DCEU Batman and Superman actors Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill to set up a role for them in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Affleck previously played Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in 2003’s Daredevil. Jennifer Garner’s Elektra from Affleck’s Daredevil movie is confirmed for Deadpool & Wolverine, which increases his cameo chances. As for Cavill, the actor has been rumored to have been cast in the MCU for a couple of months. Cavill previously revealed he would love to play Captain Britain, so having two of DC’s most famous actors join the MCU would be a major get for Marvel.
1 Deadpool & Wolverine Sets Up Avengers VS X-Men
A Major Incursion Needs To Happen
Finally, Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scene could connect to a recent MCU movie to set up a major event. In The Marvels, Monica Rambeau ended up getting trapped in another universe, which featured a variant of Kelsey Grammer’s Beast and the X-Men existed. With the concept of incursions introduced in the MCU, multiple universes need to collapse with one another in or before Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Multiverse Saga could see the main MCU Earth collide with the one of the X-Men from The Marvels. This would allow Marvel to explain Monica’s fate and use Fox’s X-Men in a major way before the characters are rebooted by Marvel. Deadpool & Wolverine‘s post-credits scene could tease the incursion, setting up an Avengers vs. X-Men project as the two teams fight for the survival of their respective universes, which would be a groundbreaking reveal.
