Pranshu (2007–2023) was an Indian social media influencer who made headlines after he committed suicide. He openly identifies as transgender and supports the Pride movement.

Pranshu (queer) aka Priyanshu Yadav aka Priyanshu Yaduvanshi aka Pranshu Yadav was born in 2007 (age 16 years; at time of death) in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. He attended Ujjain Public School, Ujjain for his schooling. He became a social media influencer while studying in school.

His father’s name was Rajendra Yadav and his mother’s name was Preeti Yadav who is a medical representative. Priyanshu’s parents separated in 2019, after which Priyanshu started living with his mother. He was the only child of his parents.

He practiced Hinduism and was a follower of Lord Krishna.

Pranshu was a strange girl. His mother told that when Pranshu was studying in 9th class, he had told his mother that he liked both girls and boys.
livelihood
In 2021, he began making Instagram videos where he often teaches makeup. His mother was surprised when he told her he wanted to become a makeup artist; However, she accepted his passion as she was amazed by the work of Pranshu’s favorite makeup artist and YouTuber, James Charles.
With time, he became popular for his makeup tutorials and often promoted several makeup brands on his Instagram page ‘glamitupwithpranshu’. At the time of his death he had more than 25 thousand followers on his Instagram page.

Death
Pranshu had posted a video on Instagram on the occasion of Diwali festival in 2023 in which she wore a saree, for which many people trolled her.
She committed suicide by hanging herself with her mother’s dupatta at her home on 21 November 2023 at the age of 16. He was studying in 10th class at that time. Reportedly, he took this step due to hateful comments and trolling on his social media handles. Following his death, several LGBTQ+ groups took to social media to demand justice and mourn his death. Several rallies were also taken out to pay tribute to Pranshu. His mother had said after his death that she was proud of her son and that she was feeling alone after his death.
Transgender Indian actor and content creator Trinetra Halder Gummaraju posted on Instagram that social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are unsafe for LGBTQ+ people.
