Park Eun-bin, who is now wowed by her performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, said that she turned down the part many times before accepting it. On June 24, the 29-year-old actress spoke with Allure Korea about how she got the part and what made her accept it. Park Eun-bin started by revealing that she got scripts for Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the 2021 blockbuster series The King’s Affection simultaneously. She said that she was unsure about her ability to play an autistic person.
“It (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) was conceived about the same time as The King’s Affection.” I felt it was wonderful to work, but it was also stuffed I wasn’t sure I could execute properly.”
She had the guts to take on the part after seeing the authors and directors’ complete faith in her.

Park Eun-bin made her start as a child actor in the entertainment business. She first gained attention with the 2016 youth drama Hello, My Twenties!, but she achieved popular fame with her historical-romance drama The King’s Affection, which was published last year. The actress is now following up on her triumph with another smash drama, Extraordinary Attorney Woo. In a recent interview with Allure Korea, she discussed her initial reservations about the position.
She confessed that she took a great effort to appropriately portray an autistic individual in order not to harm or offend anybody. She even turned down the offer many times, but the show’s writers and filmmakers trusted in her. While it was unusual, the crew waited many months for the actress to join the project.
“I was a bit worried about whether I could do it well enough without harming or disturbing anybody.” So I repeatedly declined, but they waited for me. Because the writer and director trusted in me, I found the guts to reciprocate their faith and accept the part.”
Park Eun-bin was cast in Extraordinary Attorney Woo in October of last year, only a month after completing production for The King’s Affection. While it is unknown when the serial drama’s production started, it was paused for a while in June when a production crew member tested positive. When discussing The King’s Affection, she said that she considered herself fortunate since, despite a flurry of periodical releases, she was likely the only woman who had the chance to play a Joseon Dynasty King.
“The King’s Affection” provided me with a position I could never have imagined having and enabled me to accomplish all I desired. It was really difficult, but what other women my age would have the opportunity to play the role of a Joseon Dynasty King?”
After expertly portraying a King and a lover, the 29-year-old now meets viewers in Extraordinary Attorney Woo as a brilliant lawyer.
