Julia Haart’s ex-husband, Silvio Scaglia, dropped an $850,000 lawsuit against her. Silvio Scaglia, whose net worth is estimated at $1-1.5 billion, first filed the lawsuit in February 2022. He said Julia had withdrawn money from Freedom Holding’s account. According to Us Weekly, Julia’s staff said the allegation was “not fact-based.”
Julia was first seen by the public in the first season of the Netflix series My Unorthodox Life. Julia was introduced to the show as a fashion designer and mother of four living in Manhattan. She rose to fame after fleeing her ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York. Julia’s life seemed to be going great until the end of the first season, but in the second season of My Unorthodox Life, Julia is seen in the midst of a difficult divorce from Silvia. Silvio and Julia have been engaged in a court battle since early 2022.

Silvio Scaglia and My Unusual Life Julia Haart got married in June 2019.
Scaglia is a Swiss media and technology entrepreneur born in 1958. The co-founder of Freedom Holding is the creator of Fastweb, an Italian telecommunications company. Elite World Group is controlled by this holding company. Silvio became the leader of Elite World Group in 2011. In 2020, he also founded SHS Management, an AI-powered asset management company. According to Bustle, Silvio has a net worth of 1-1.5 billion USD.
Silvio studied at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He began his professional career in the field of aviation. He also served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. In 1995, Silvio was appointed CEO of Omnitel, a newly established telecommunications company. In 1999, he founded his own company e.Biscom with banker Francesco Micheli. When the company went public in 2000, it was valued at 10 billion euros. After the merger, e.Biscom became Fastweb.
Silvio sold its stake in the company to Swisscom after being named one of the most influential innovators in new technology. He also founded Babelgum, a YouTube rival that was dissolved in 2012. Silvio married My Unorthodox Life actress Julia in June 2019 after divorcing first wife Monica Aschei in 2018. Julia was appointed CEO and co-owner of Elite World Group at the same time.
Julia filed for divorce from Silvio on February 9, 2022, after two years of marriage. During the couple’s divorce, the designer was fired from Elite World Group. Days later, Page Six claimed Julia had filed for an injunction against Silvio, claiming that she was “scared” of him. According to her petition:
“In January 2022, I was faced with [Silvio] about his violent behavior and tell him that anyone who hears the way he behaves and talks to me will think he is a disgusting guy. In reaction, [he] he threatened me saying, ‘I will kill you if you dare to speak in public about the way I treat you or the children.'”
Silvio and Julia have been embroiled in a number of lawsuits in their ongoing divorce battle, including a lawsuit against Julia for embezzlement of $850,000. Silvio, on the other hand, denied the complaint. My Unorthodox Life star Julia told TMZ on December 14:
“The fact that Silvio dropped these lawsuits with prejudice, meaning he was permanently fired, I think that should have been revealed, says a lot. I have not paid and I want to continue with the fraud and defamation lawsuit against Silvio and others in connection with these lawsuits. Now, my goal and priority is to recover with the help and support of my family, and continue to build a business that empowers people.”
Season 2 of My Unorthodox Life premieres on Netflix on December 2, 2022, with lots of fashion, family, women’s empowerment, spirituality, fairy tales, and of course Haart content.
