We’re almost halfway through 2023, and we’re looking back at the biggest hits of 2022 to see which ones had staying power.
Believe it or not, only 14 songs reached the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2022. Some of those songs were new releases. However, we also had a couple of unexpected hits that topped the charts long after their initial release date.
The year even opened and closed with the same song, an old number, reigning supreme.
An artist dominated for 15 non-consecutive weeks. Another topped the chart twice with different songs. Several artists hit #1 for the first time, including a couple that might surprise you.
