Nusrat Jahan is an Indian actress who works in Bengali cinema. He is also a politician and a Lok Sabha member from Basirhat constituency in the 17th Lok Sabha (2019–24).

Due to taking place on foreign soil, the ceremony is invalid, according to Turkish marriage regulation. Furthermore, since it was an interfaith marriage, it required recognition under the Special Marriage Act in India, which did not happen. According to the court, this is not a marriage, but a relationship or live-in relationship. In such a situation the question of divorce does not arise. Our separation happened long ago, but I didn’t talk about it because I wanted to keep my personal life to myself. Thus, my actions should not be questioned on the basis of “separation” by the media or anyone to whom I am not related. The said marriage is not legal, valid and sustainable; And thus, in the eyes of the law it was not a marriage at all.”
On 26 August 2021, she gave birth to her first child, a boy; This news was shared by Nusrat’s alleged boyfriend actor Yash Dasgupta. In September 2021, during her first public appearance after motherhood, when asked who was the father of her son, she replied,
