Nisha Upadhyay is an Indian singer and actress known for singing various Bhojpuri devotional and other songs. He is famous for his live shows. She went viral in June 2023 when she was shot during a live show.

Nisha Upadhyay was born on Friday, 12 April 1996 (age 27 years; as of 2023) in Gauhar Basant village, Garkha tehsil of Saran district in Bihar, India. His zodiac sign is Aries. She was interested in music since childhood and used to sing in school level singing competitions. His singing talent was recognized by his school teachers when he sang for the first time during a school program when he was studying in the third grade. He studied till 12th from Mahavir Public School, Saran, Bihar. Later he took the step of making a career in Bhojpuri music industry.

Breaking COVID-19 protocols
On 2 July 2021, during his brother Ravi’s wedding, he did not follow COVID-19 protocols as more than 50 people were partying in an area, and some of them were also without masks. Many Bhojpuri singers performed at the wedding ceremony. When the matter was reported to the police, FIR number 463/21 was registered against him and 102 others under IPC sections 188/269/270/34 and 3 Epidemic Diseases and 09 Bihar Control and Loudspeakers Act 1955. His Scorpio met with a road accident
On November 16, 2022, she was going for a live show and when she was in Ekma area of Saran district, the driver stopped the Scorpio SUV and opened the door. Motorcycle rider Dhananjay Mahato, aged 35, collided with an open door and later died during treatment. After the accident, the local people created a ruckus in the area due to which he had to lock himself in his SUV. Later the police arrived and were successful in pacifying the people. FIR number 448/22 was registered under section 279/304 (A) of IPC at Ekma police station in Saran district against the absconding Scorpio driver.

- On May 30, 2023, she was performing a live show in Sendhuar village of Chapra, when an unknown person opened fire in celebration. A bullet hit him in his left thigh after which he was taken to Max Hospital in Patna. Later his condition was declared stable. He said in an interview that he felt pain in his thigh; However, when he saw blood he realized that he had been shot.
