On Monday, TMZ reported that Taylor Swift’s father, Scott, is under investigation for assaulting a paparazzi.
“The New South Wales Police Media Unit tells TMZ…cops are investigating an alleged assault. [The assault] They were informed on Sydney’s north shore very early on Tuesday morning local time. This after a photographer named Ben McDonald filed a complaint claiming just that,” TMZ wrote.
Now the outlet has obtained images of the altercation. In the video you can see Taylor and Scott walking together. Shortly afterward a kind of skirmish seems to break out.

Paps became aggressive with the star before the altercation
Based on the video, it is still unclear if Scott was one of the people involved. One of Swift’s representatives spoke to TMZ about the incident involving her father. The representative revealed that as Swift and her father approached her vehicle, the paparazzi began to become aggressive as they approached. They were also grabbing members of her security team.
“A representative for Taylor told us that more than one individual was “aggressively pushing toward Taylor”…and claimed that people were grabbing her security detail and threatening to throw a woman into the water. “Taylor’s team did not specifically address the photographer’s allegation against Scott,” TMZ added.
“Police in Australia note that the alleged victim did not require medical treatment after the encounter with Scott. So… maybe all the drama will go away before it turns into something more serious. However, McDonald doesn’t seem willing to let this go. “Time will tell if something more serious happens.”

That’s what prompted college student Jack Sweeney to start tracking his flights. And now, she’s taking action against him, as his team has served Sweeney with a cease and desist letter.
“While this may be a game for you, or an avenue you hope will bring you wealth or fame, it is a matter of life and death for our Client,” the letter reads. “EM. Swift has dealt with stalkers and other people who wish her harm since she was a teenager.”
