Nandita joined theater accidentally. He talked about this in an interview and said,
I call myself an accidental actor because I had no plans to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. I was working in the corporate sector and to satisfy my creativity, I used to do early morning shows on All India Radio. Later, I joined a theater group and realized that it was the right time to explore my passion.
She is known for her roles in dramas like ‘Wada,’ ‘Iraq,’ ‘Vaar Khali Don Paye,’ and ‘Jungle Mein Mangal.’

Nandita’s first film was ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’ (2014) in which she played the role of Gyanesh’s mother. Later, she worked in several Marathi films like ‘Daravatha’ (2015), ‘Lalbaugchi Rani’ (2016), ‘Khari Biscuit’ (2019), ‘Baba’ (2019), and ‘Baalbharti’ (2022). He also worked in a short film ‘Butter Chicken’ (2022). The film won the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival 2021 – Outstanding Achievement Award and was officially selected for the Indian Panorama International Film Festival 2021, 11th Pune Short Film Festival 2021 and Sessions by Lift-Off Global Network 2021.

She made her television debut with the Marathi show ‘Mez Pati Saubhagyavati’ (2015), where she played the role of Lakshmi. After this he worked in ‘Tu Maja Sangati’.
