Namrata Joshi studied English Literature from Delhi University. He pursued his further studies in media at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, Maharashtra and the Times Center for Media Studies in Delhi. His excellence in evaluating films led him to work with Outlook as a Senior Associate Editor for 16 years.

He marked himself as an author by launching his first book ‘Reel India: Cinema of the Beaten Track’ on 20 July 2019. It is a book of 250 pages in which he has analyzed the impact of cinema on society and what it does.
She has written several reports for various international film festivals, including a report titled ‘A Woman’s Moscow’ at the 29th Moscow International Film Festival, a report on Relationships on a Breakdown Mode at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival, ‘Women Interrupted’ at the 38th Is included.
