She did her schooling from Delhi’s GD Goenka Public School and moved to Pratt Institute New York to complete a diploma in interior designing. After completing her diploma, she relocated to Mumbai and got herself enrolled in Mumbai’s School of Broadcasting and Communication to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Mass Media. Muskaan was good in co-curricular activities in her school days and took part in activities like singing, painting, dancing, monologues, small school skits, and debates. She always inspired to be an actress and it was in college days that she was introduced to theatre. Sethi also took professional training in contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and salsa dance styles from Ashley Lobo.

Musskan started her modelling career by doing TV commercials for brands like “Samsung,” “Panasonic,” “Cello,” “Gold Fogg,” “Syska,” and “Dabur Gulabari.”

Musskan made her acting debut in 2007 with the Telugu film “Paisa Vasool.” The movie turned out to be a blockbuster and her performance in the film was praised by the critics.
