Mohammed Amer, also known as Mo Amer, is a stand-up comedian from the United States. He is best known for the Netflix comedy special Mo Amer: The Vagabond and for being one third of the comedy trio Allah Made Me Funny. He also starred in the Hulu sitcom “Ramy” for two seasons, alongside comedian Ramy Youssef.

Mohammed Amer was born on July 24, 1981 in Kuwait as Mohammed “Mo” Mustafa Amer. His nationality is Kuwaiti-American and he is of Palestinian descent, so his ethnicity is mixed. He is the youngest of six siblings. As a result, he has five siblings. His father worked for the Kuwait Oil Company as an engineer. Amer, his sister Haifa, brother and mother fled Kuwait during the Gulf War in October 1990, when he was nine years old. They immigrated to America and settled in Houston, Texas. His father, a telecommunications engineer, joined them in the United States in 1992.
