Mira Rajput was born in a Punjabi family in Chhatarpur, Delhi, India. Her father, Vikramaditya Rajput, is a businessman and her mother, Bela Rajput, is a homemaker. She is the second of three sisters, with Priya Rajput Tulshan being the elder and Noorjahan Rajput Wadhwani being the younger.

Mira Rajput did her schooling from Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. Later she joined Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi and completed her graduation in English (Hons). She was a very bright student. He got 10th rank in Delhi University’s CATE exam for English.
