Jersey Shore Star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino recently opened up about his 2-year-old son’s terrifying experience at the family table.
While eating his favorite pasta, 2-year-old Romeo began to choke. However, thanks to the efforts of Sorrentino’s wife, Lauren, he was unharmed.
The entire scene was captured by the Sorrentinos’ circular camera, from where Romeo can be heard struggling to breathe. While Sorrentino attempted to help her son by patting him on the back, Lauren ran to retrieve her chokehold tool to dislodge the paste blocking her airway.
The reality TV star posted the distressing images on Instagram along with a warning about the importance of CPR training.
“THE MOST TERRIFYING MOMENT OF OUR LIVES‼️,” Sorrentino wrote. “It was a normal dinner at Situations when suddenly, without warning, Romeo started choking on his favorite pesto pasta gnocchi!! He was hunched over and not breathing.”
“I’m so proud of how my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate, and finally dislodged the food that was blocking her airway and saved her life. “I love my family with all my heart and I am so grateful that everything turned out well.”
“It’s safe to say we’re taking CPR lessons now and Romeo won’t be eating gnocchi anytime soon.”
