In 2020, Mehreen Gandhi became the co-owner of BR Detailers, India’s first turtle wax brand store. When he was asked in an interview about the initial journey of his career, he said
Back in the day, I started a detailing workshop where I spent my free time working on cars. Throughout the day, photographers came and went to capture the entire process of work being done on the cars from start to finish. Then, one day, when I was polishing a car and applying paint protection film to it, one of my cinematographers took some pictures of me. He immediately compiled these shots into a reel and showed it to me. I loved it and decided to post the reel on my Instagram just for fun. To my surprise, the video quickly went viral, and that day I had no idea that influencing would become such an important part of my life, which I now thoroughly enjoy.
