He describes his wife Oleander Marr as his rock and support.
Manny Montana loves to keep his life low-key, but we do know that he has a wife named Adelfa Marr. Oleander and Manny have been together for about five years. Marr is a life coach and the creator of Safe Space.
It’s unclear how Manny and Marr met, but it’s clear Manny is head over heels in love with her. He describes her as her rock and her support. Manny said in an interview published in adelfamarr.com:
“Besides acting, I’m married to my best fucking friend. She is my fucking rock. She’s so funny, man, you always want to find that ideal marriage, whatever that means to you, and you do, but in the back of your mind you think it’s overkill. I found that shit, man. We do everything together… my wife, I mean, her and I got together so quickly and everything worked out so quickly.”
It turns out that Manny is also a family man. He’s managed to keep his son’s identity out of the public eye and says there’s nothing he enjoys more than spending time with his family. He continued;
“But my life right now is a journey and I’m having a lot of fun. Having a baby is infinite love multiplied by ten. You never know a love like this until you have a child. It gets hard because you’re tired, but kids are so fun and loving and all they want to do is laugh and be around you. I just hope it has made me a better and more patient person…”
He did not believe that the people around him were pursuing acting careers.

Montana was born in Long Beach, California. His dad and his mom worked long hours, so his aunts and uncles mainly raised him. Montana always wanted to be an actor, but he didn’t believe that actors came from “normal” families. However, Montana resigned after dislocating his arm for the eighth time and transferred to California State University to study Journalism and Broadcasting. That decision set him on the path to acting greatness. montana i talk to adelfamarr.com in his way of thinking growing up:
“Acting also seems like something that doesn’t happen to the first-generation kid whose father works in a warehouse and whose mother has always worked odd jobs. I never imagined that this would happen to people who came from normal families. However, because of that, I never shared that I wanted to become an actor with too many people because it seemed like a big scope…”
Fans came to Manny’s aid when NBC claimed they canceled good girls his fault
A month after we found out what to film for good girls Scheduled to start in the spring of 2022, NBC canceled the popular show. An informant talking to tv line at the time he said, “We couldn’t make the finances work.”
Multiple sources familiar with the cancellation later said the renewal plans were stalled after Manny refused to take a pay cut and complained about the scheduling. However, the three main actresses Christina Hendriks, Mae Whitman and Retta could have continued the series without Montana.
It might have prompted a change in creative direction, but Manny’s exclusion wouldn’t have been detrimental to the series. Thus, there was speculation that NBC used Manny’s stalled contract negotiations as an excuse to cut the show. “They were looking for an excuse to cut the hook,” a source said.
Whitman, who is known for having a turbulent relationship with Manny, mourned the cancellation via her Instagram Stories. “Okay, I’m going to cry now,” she wrote.
Much of the fans have sided with Manny -or against NBC- in this saga. NBC’s excuse that Manny is the reason for the cancellation seems disingenuous. One Redditor opined:
“Everything that is going on right now looks like a blatant smear campaign against Manny and his total BS. Based on screen time alone, Manny is no longer a main character. If ONE supporting character could take down a show with hundreds of cast and crew members, the entire NBC network is a joke.”
